Every loaf tells a story — of long-fermented dough, locally sourced grains, and the kind of patience that can't be rushed. Welcome to Grillin' & Groovin', where baking is a craft and every visit feels like coming home.
"Best sourdough in Hartford County, hands down."
— Local Food Guide
Grillin' & Groovin' started as a weekend passion — a home oven, a handful of recipes, and a conviction that the bread in Rocky Hill deserved better. What began at a single farmers market table has grown into a beloved corner shop on Fern Street, where the aroma of fresh sourdough greets you before you even push the door open.
We mill our own flour blends, ferment our starters for 48 hours, and source dairy, eggs, and produce from farms within 50 miles. Our grocery section carries the same thoughtfulness — small-batch preserves, local honey, artisan cheeses, and pantry staples we'd actually keep in our own kitchen.

We drive from Farmington just for their sourdough. The crust, the crumb, the tang — nothing from the grocery store comes close. This is what bread is supposed to taste like.

The grocery section is a hidden gem — local honey, amazing cheeses, and preserves that actually taste like fruit. Paired with a fresh croissant and espresso, it's my Saturday ritual.

They made the most beautiful birthday cake for my daughter — vanilla bean with raspberry compote. Every guest asked where it was from. We'll be back every year.
